- Youth Coaching Certification: Clinics provided in conjunction with Soccer Nova Scotia (SNS)
Coach Selection
All Coaches will be required to submit an application. Coaching positions are OPEN to anyone who strives to achieve the goals of the Club. Final selection will be made by the CCRSC Technical committee based on merit, commitment, desire, knowledge, experience, attitude, organizational skills, sportsmanship, reliability and past track record. Each coaching term will expire at the end of the season. Coaches must re-apply each season if wishing to continue coaching.
Coaching Requirements

- Teams not able to meet these credentials prior to the start of the season will need to submit a letter to the Club stating intent to have the respective coach certified. Note: It is SNS policy that all staff listed on a team roster going to Provincials must have the minimum of a Community Coach Certificate in order to be on the bench. In addition, all staff listed on a team roster attending any age/gender, Provincial or Regional Championship must be CPIC (Police check) cleared no later than the starting date of the respective leagues.
- All coaches are required to complete a Child Abuse Registry Check and have an up-to-date Criminal Records Check BEFORE the season starts. Carla Cushing will be able to provide proper forms.
Gender Representation
Every team (indoor and outdoor) will be required to have at least one team official (coach, assistant coach, manager, assistant manager) of the same gender as the team. This person will be the one to monitor locker room access/meetings, injury treatment, et cetera. |
