This comprehensive club-managed initiative was designed to provide high level training by way of the “MYSC Elite Athlete Development Model”. The MYSC development Model utilizes standards mandated by the world's leading organizations in soccer including FIFA and UEFA in terms of participation and age specific training criteria. Elements of the competitive program include technical training, tactical training, strength and conditioning, agility and coordination and other development modalities and channels. The newly appointed MYSC technical department includes a staff that possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the sport and will direct and administer all programming. The MYSC Elite Athlete Development Initiative is a response to a recognized need for this type of development structure for our most skilled athletes.MYSC is confident that this commitment to all players participating at the competitive level will ensure that MYSC is a leader in player development.   __________________________________________________________________________Rep
South Region Soccer LeagueThe Rep teams are considered Competitive under the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) classification.

The Rep teams plays in the South Region Soccer League (SRSL).  This league consists of teams from Peel Halton, Hamilton and Niagara districts.  There are different divisions in this league for each age group.  Starting with Elite at the top, then Premier, First Division, Second Division, etc depending on the number of teams in each age group.  Standings are kept for the Rep teams (ie points for wins/ties) and teams can be promoted (move up) or relegated (move down) a division.

Rep teams practice twice a week starting in the spring and the games are usually once a week.  The Rep outdoor soccer season is from May until September.  Try outs are usually in the fall.  Most teams practice during the winter months.  Rep teams are automatically entered into the League Cup.

Rep teams are eligible to be entered in the Ontario Cup but they must apply.

Select
Peel Halton Select Soccer LeagueThe Select teams are considered Recreational under the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) classification.

Select teams do not play in House League.  Instead, the Select teams will be playing in the Peel Halton Select Soccer League (PHSSL). This league consists of teams from other clubs in the Peel Halton region such as North Mississauga, Georgetown, Bolton, Burlington, etc.

New for the 2010 Outdoor season, the PHSSL and the Hamilton & District Multi-Jurisdictional Select League (HDMJSL) will have interlocking games.  This means some of the games will be played with Hamilton region teams such as Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Saltfleet, etc.

Practices will be twice a week starting in the spring and the games are once a week during the weekdays.  The Select soccer season is from May until September.  This league plays a regular season where there are no standings (ie no points for wins/ties) and at the end of the season there is a tournament for all PHSSL teams of that age group to determine the champion for that season.  Usually this tournament starts at the mid or end of August.  Try outs are usually in the fall.  Most teams practice during the winter months.

 All Star

The All-Star soccer teams are for individuals who wish to further develop their skills as a soccer player at a level beyond House League.  These teams are ideally for players who are entertaining the idea of higher competition but would like to slowly ease into it.  The All-Star teams are considered Recreational under the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) classification.

The All-Star players are selected through a try-out process in the spring, usually after the start of the outdoor soccer season.  All players trying out for an All-Star team must be registered with the Milton Youth Soccer Club's House League.

The selected players will still continue playing on their regular House League teams during the weekday.  All-Star practices and tournaments are to be held on the weekends.  The tournaments are usually an all weekend affair (playing both Saturday and Sunday).  The coaches and their team choose the tournaments they wish to enter for the season.

Each All-Star player is subject to a fee as determined by the Club.  Each All-Star player will receive a soccer jersey and socks as part of their uniform.  House League shorts must be used to complete the All-Star uniform.  Each All-Star player will receive an individual and team photo similar to House League.

Each All-Star player will need a Player Registration Book issued by the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA).  See Player Registration Book (link) for more details.
