The Saskatchewan Soccer Association Announces 2008 Provincial Program for ASTA
The Saskatchewan Soccer Association [SSA] has today announced the format for the Saskatchewan Soccer Association “ASTA” program (provincial player program) for the 2008 season. In the attached document is the Strategic Plan involving competitions, training, program costs, and coaches.

Revised Provincial Playdown Schedules for the North and South
The Saskatchewan Soccer Association would like to announce that due to the Regina Soccer Association reorganizing some of their house league games and freeing up more facility time for Division 2 Provincial Youth Finals that the U14 Girls North, the U16 Girls North & the U14 Girls South will not have to attend playdowns in Lloydminster (North) and Yorkton (South)

The following age groups are the only age groups participating in Northern and Southern Playdowns

The Southern Playdowns will take place in Yorkton on February 9th – 10th, 2008. Click the links below to see the corresponding schedules.

The Northern Playdowns will take place in Lloydminster on February 16 – 17th, 2008. Click the links below to see the corresponding schedules.

**All games played in Lloydminster will be on Alberta time on the schedule.** (Example: 4:00 pm in Saskatchewan is 3:00 pm in Alberta as they are 1 hour behind Saskatchewan).
The technical package will be posted early next week along with the official rules for provincials.
Again the Saskatchewan Soccer Association apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused from booking hotel rooms to rescheduling events however after being given ample facility time in the best interest of competition we feel this is the best route for all soccer athletes.
